Group Puppy Classes

  This class is for puppies 12 weeks – 20 weeks  old.  Your vet can let you know if your puppy has enough immunizations to be around other dogs/puppies.  Each vet is different on what series of  immunizations they want a puppy to have.  Please check with your vet.   All puppies in class need to be immunized. This class is 4  weeks.

Behavioral solutions for common puppy related issues. 

Does your dog pull and drag you around on leash, jumps on you, the kids and visitors, will not come when called, can not maintain a Sit with out getting up and moving  around before you can count to one, excessive barking. While attending Happy Bark Dog Training obedience class you and your dog will start communicating with each other. Without your dog learning what those words coming from you mean, they hear blah blah blah nonsense.  With our instruction and the proper training equipment, you and your dog will learn basic commands to make life easier and enjoyable! We spend up to 10-15 years with our canine pals. Those years should and can be fun, not exasperating. Remember nothing changes in your dogs behavior until YOU change. Your dog will not grow out of his bad habits nor will he wake up one morning and be Lassie. Not going to happen.

Reactive dog training focuses on teaching your dog to relax and to look to you for cues on how they should react when their triggers are present.

  In this session we will discuss why your dog is reactive, what makes the behavior occur , and how we can use different training techniques to change that behavior to something more desirable. We’ll discuss dog body language and stress signals, handling techniques, training equipment, and techniques that you can use with your own dogs at home.

Webinar is online via ZOOM. This online setting provides a less stressful environment and gives you the opportunity to really learn!

Adding a new baby to the family is a joyous occasion, but to your dog, this tiny intruder brings a host of unfamiliar items he doesn’t understand. He sees novel sights, hears unusual sounds, and sniffs peculiar scents. If he’s never spent time around children as a puppy, he may feel frightened by this loud creature that captures your total attention. Suddenly your dog isn’t the center of your world and his daily routine takes second place to the wiggling blanket in your arms.

With the change in household activity, it’s no wonder that your dog may feel anxious and unsteady. If he’s sensitive to odd sounds, such as when the baby cries or the swing turns on, he can easily become frightened and stay hidden in a corner. Or he’ll crave your affection for constant reassurance. Naturally you’ll want to help your dog adjust to this new lifestyle. This is where Happy Bark Dog Training comes in and we will help prepare for the joyous occasion and keep it as stress free as possible! 

Persons who are interested in bringing a pet dog into their lives and are eager to get started will often times turn to either rescuing a dog or purchasing a dog.  What is often times overlooked is will this be the right pet for me and my family dynamic?  Emotions will often times take hold in the decision making process of bringing the dog into your home.  Families will always have honorable intentions during the decision making process only to find that this MAY have been the wrong dog for the wrong family at the wrong time. I will come to your home meet with your family, ask a series of questions and learn YOUR FAMILY. and YOUR intentions.  As I begin a new relationship with you, I will work patiently and tirelessly along with  you and your family in locating the right pet for you.  We will continue our journey with the new pet as a new addition to your family to set the tone and the foundation of properly assimilating, training, bonding and cultivating many blissful years of companionship into your life as well as your pets life.
